We did plenty of behind the scenes work at LAYFP this month to be ready for spring planting. I’ll give a quick recap of some of the things we’ve been doing. If you have any questions or want to know about anything we’ve done, be sure to leave us a comment. We love to hear from you.
Flower Pot Decorating: We want youth groups around the county to paint or to modge podge pots. After the pots are decorated, we will fill them with soil and a plant that will grow in office lights. The pots will be distributed to local businesses to bring awareness to the LAYFP. If you know a youth group who like to decorate pots or if you want a pot for your office, please e-mail Nicole at firstname.lastname@example.org We give a special thanks to the iCare group at the Family Y who decorated pots last week.
Community Feedback: LAYFP has reached out to the community to get feedback about a new garden site proposal at the County Land on North Mesa next to the tennis courts. We visited homes in the proposed site location. We enjoyed talking to you. We also had three public meetings to let the community members know our plans and to answer their questions. If we missed you, please leave us a comment.
